Can you gain just muscle mass natty?

Say someone is finished with a cut. They then eat very slightly above maintenance like 200 calories above it and workout hard for 3 months. Can you build solely muscle and no fat doing this?

depends on the food they eat
 
unless you're ronnie coleman, no. and even then you'd probably gain some fat. don't be afraid of the fat bro its just temporary. i doubt you're actively tryna date right now anyways, so focus on looking as good as you can in the future instead.

I feel like it actually should be possible for just a 3 month period+newbie gains+muscle memory

nigger it wouldn't you body would put on fat even on steroids, gaining a little bit of fat is essential for your body as well

that would give you 5lbs of lean muscle in 3 months. very unlikely from such a small surplus
