I want to increase my neck size but am in a deficit right now. Through training neck 3x a week I have been able to atleast maintain my neck size despite losing over 20 pounds. I want a neck like Gronk, will I need to get into a surplus or is it possible at maintenance? I have been maintaining strength despite being in an 800 kcal surplus and can still Dumbell bench 200 pounds for a 1RM. So I'm starting to think I can blow up strength wise and put on some lean size while being at surplus or just a 50 kcal surlplus.
