I can tell you that it's a good experience altogether when you're both still children but as soon as puberty enters the equation and they become more susceptible to social engineering, it's NOT a good experience anymore.

My sister went from being relatable, easy-going, innocent and fun to be around to being bitchy, self-centred, more degenerate etc. in her teenage years. I literally couldn't stand her for some time when she changed so radically, I just couldn't accept it at the time as it left me so confused. I was honestly happy when she moved out at the time.
This was also the period where she started to have 'fun' of course, getting to experience certain milestones in her teenage years that I still haven't experienced myself to this day, approaching my mid-20s jfl.
We used to operate on a level playing field when we were kids but then she discovered her female privileges meanwhile I got fuck all, just lol at this dynamic.

We're both in our early/mid-20s now and our relationship has improved since but we only see each other a couple of times a year these days so there's no point in feeling bitter about it anyway.

Yes and no. My little sister, aged 4 enjoys my company, likes to play with me, hugs me etc. I regularly take her to the playground. Everytime she sees me she always is happy, always says hi to me. My older female cousins, 1 and 2 years older than me treat me like i'm a retard, just because my mom told them i'm an aspie and used to live in some group home for aspies. They don't talk to me in a normal matter, and try to sit as me as far away as possible everytime i see them.
