Is it true you cant lose weight when eating a decent amount of carbs? (assuming ur in a deficit ofcourse)

cause trying to find an answer always ends up with 2 sides of retards throwing poop at each other saying carbs are bad or carbs r good

Depends on your morpho I'd say, a friend of mine burns calories like a full-sized factory so he must eat a shit ton of carbs. But it's true that carbs, especially refined ones (so whole foods are less bad) can cause insulin spikes leading to fat storage. All in all :
  • Avoid sugar as much as you can
  • Avoid refined carbs (white bread, pastas…)
  • Instead take whole foods (brown rice, whole bread etc) for carbs
  • Veggies are good too but I don't personally swear by them. Whole foods tend to have fibers anyway
  • Eat a shitload of meat if possible, vary between types

A decent portion of the carbs you eat get used up as heat (dietary thermogenesis) so you're technically consuming less calories than you think you are.

Bananas are fine tbh as are fruits unless you literally devour an entire truck each day. It doesn't fry your brain and cause insulin spikes as much as regular sugar.
Idk about peanut butter but I would be wary of manufacturers adding sweeteners and sugar in it. It seems to be quite sugar-y from the get go so there's that. Don't abuse it and you'll be fine, no need to overthink things. As long as you do not binge on sugar and refined carbs and keep a caloric deficit you're mostly fine

Carbs are carbs they provide energy for lifting and running if you dont do any of does things you can cut them out it dosent matter how much carbs you cut the only thing that determines weight is caloriess and not macros

every single type of carbohydrate you consume spikes insulin levels
the only difference is between the glycemic indexes, on a scale of 0-100 it shows how much each food increases blood sugar

that being said, banana's glycemic index is 51, and milk chocolate's is 42
go figure if natty sugars are better than added sugars🤪 theres no 'but muh chocolate has added sugars' when its metabolized the EXACT same way
fructose sucrose glucose it doesnt matter, all of them get converted to GLUCOSE when you consume it and get stored for energy as glycogen

if it fits ur ideal macros and doesnt make you crave more, then sure go ahead and eat it
the only reason fruits are deemed to be healthy is because they are full of other micronutrients such as vitamins and minerals. the sugar and carbs are BAD for you in them. atleast for me, because it makes me want to eat more

I guess I stand corrected. Don't refined carbs usually have a higher glycemic index anyway?
