I’ve been carnivore once for 3 months, between the end of September to the end of November.
I can’t sleep at all so I decided to see to post this to see if anyone has experienced the same.

So basically half the time when I would eat meat I’d do one day raw and the other cooked.
For breakfast I’d choose between 5 eggs,a can of tuna or a can of Sardines.
For my second meal it would be either a raw slack of meat or a steak with eggs on most days.
And 1/3rd of the meat I ate in a week would be poultry.

Here’s my Pro’s and Con’s.

Pros:
- Minimal need to brush my teeth since there would be no sugar or carbohydrates lingering on my teeth for the bacteria to use as fuel.

-Less fatigue but not in a significant amount.
-Meat everyday never bored me.
-Not needing to care for “low blood sugar” which is pointless to add since I never experienced “low blood sugar” even at the times when I wasn’t carnivore.
-A feeling of happiness after a meal for some reason.

Cons:
-One thing that sticks out is that even though I felt happy after a meal is that after about 1-2 hours I’d feel hungry, like stomach growling hungry.

So I’d basically almost never feel full.
-Not many options to choose from.
I do not know how to explain this but once I ran out of Meat or any kind of carnivore food (for example:Steak) I wouldn’t have it for 1-2 days.
-Muscles lost volume (for me) due to the lack of glycogen.
-Limited gains while working out (again, only for me) when I cut off carbohydrates I barely noticed any muscle gain compared to the 300 grams of carbohydrates I eat today.

Important note:I’m only stating my experience so don’t go “N-no b-b-b-but…”.
That was my experience.
My opinion?
I’m never doing it again.

carnivore lacks carbs that's the problem i think, since carbs are used for energy
your system was lacking the energy to perform and rebuild which is probably why little muscle gained

Well compared to ketosis and the regular diet comparing carbohydrates.
Half of your assumption is right but also wrong.
You mentioned the lack of energy but during ketosis you’d have a baseline of energy that dosen’t drop nor rise but compared to eating carbohydrates 1-2 hours prior to a workout, ketosis lacks this.
But the “rebuild” part is wrong. Muscle is 73% water and a gram of glycogen carries 4 grams of water and as it’s known that glycogen is stored in muscles causing bigger muscles.
But generally speaking,if you consumed the same amount of protein you’d consume with carbohydrates you’d see better results than consuming the same amount of protein without carbohydrates.

If ur working out, u do need fair share of carbs also working out is bs as ur already eating raw meat. You will gain few kgs of muscle anyway

What about fats being primary energy source tho?

Don’t get me wrong,I’ve been consuming a stick of butter a day at that time including all the meat and eggs and such.

I literally did eat full raw to try to fix the sudden hunger an hour after eating.
And carnivore or not I still eat 8 eggs a day.

Carnivore is retarded you need to do animal based

Well considering fats being the “primary energy source” is not correct.
See the human body stores glucose and glycogen,if fat was the primary energy source we wouldn’t have the ability to store glycogen in the muscles nor store glucose in the Glea cells of our brain.
You see you could be fine with eating 0 carbohydrates but biologically speaking it is not the primary source of energy of the human body.

Yeh that’s why carnivore is shit cuz there is no carbs, you get that from the fruit on animal based

My diet consists of 60% carbohydrates,25% protein and 15% fat (not exactly it’s just an estimate).
The source of carbohydrates I consume are fruits, grains and more.
I find this balance in my diet the sweet spot.

Yeh of course it’s what works for you.

How come you wouldn’t consume less carbs tho slightly and increase your fat and protein intake!

See 25% protein sounds minimal and not impressive but actually the 25% of protein I consume are roughly 150g-130g a day.
Carbohydrates would be in the range of 400 grams when I’d be in a bulk but in a cut it would be 300 grams or a little less or more.

You’re right actually. Where do you get your carbs from tho? Most carbs are unhealthy asf and contain all kinds of anti nutrients oxidants etc

I just eat a couple of bowls of grain cereals which have a total of 4 ingredients,a couple of apples, bananas and kiwi’s depending on which kind of fruits I have and the typical sourdough rye bread that I eat for breakfast.
Sorry for the late reply it’s hard eating and typing.
