So I have been micro needling in my bathroom for the past month using a 1mm needle and needling my acne scars. I would do this every 2 days giving time for the skin to heal and everytime before bed I would apply castro oil on my acne scars and have seen visible improvement.

So my theory is that applying castor oil on the scarring helps the the skin to recover quicker and heal better.

Castor oil is made up of mostly ricinoleic acid which has an anti inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. After microneedling the skin barrier is damaged because of the “scars”, so reducing inflammation and keeping bacteria away helped the healing process. Castor oil is also occlusive which means it helps keeping moisture into the skin and reduce transepidermal water loss. Studies on wound healing show that skin tends to heal faster in a moist environment because cells like keratinocytes migrate faster when the area isn’t dry.

Microneedling def did like 70% of the work but i think castor oil helped the other 30%

This is for what I HAVE seen for the past month:forcedsmile:

lard is better

trust bro ive been using it for over a year and my acne scars are almost gone
No, lard mostly consists of oleic acid which actually disrupts the the skin barrier causing irritation on sensitive or damaged skin
