Castor oil for facial hair legit?

not expecting to turn into santa claus but my current facial hair looks somewhat like this

it's short, thin and raspy

and I'm aiming for something like this

just a little softer, thicker and longer


can castor oil improve it in that regard?


should mention that I've never tried letting it grow out longer than like a week because it was itching like hell and looked shitty but I doubt it would've improved with time
