Well softmaxxing is more about fixing your flaws. If you are a PSL 5 who is brought down to a 3 because of bad skin then yes technically I guess you could ascend my softmaxxing but you need a good base in the first place.

I rate myself a 2.5-3 psl because of

1)Upper eyelid exposure, negative orbital vector
2) Indian
3) acne, brown skin, shitty hairstyle, uneven hairline, large forehead
4) Bad nose
5) Assymetry one side bigger than other

I'm not sure maybe lower than 2.5
