topical minodixil works alot better, castor oil just strenghtens roots or whatever, it doesnt promote new growth. As long as u wash ur hands after using minox then u should be fine dw. Mark as solu

topical minoxidil works great, just don't use it on your eyelashes.

I did that (and it worked), but since minox is a vasodilator it caused crazy dark circles, so I stopped

Castor oil is a cope

topical minoxidil will give slower results than oral, but combining with microneedling should help

I avoid castor oil, use it only for lashes since it can cause breakouts if it migrates from your eyebrows

Complicated to elab short on this, but castor oil binds and stops the prostaglandin D² synthase enzyme if there is a high % of ricinoleic acid content and MAY increase hair growth alongside being a moisturizer (the so well-known PEG-40 or PEG-60)

The problem is that castor oil is too thick to even reach the hair roots so you'll have to dilute it with propylene glycol, water-free alcohol or ethanol, 30% to 50% of total volume.

Minoxidil is doing an other way to grow hair since it's a vasodilatator and just boosts blood flow.
If you're affraid for your animals, buy a stainless steel ball roll-on to apply without using your hands and still avoid your animals to touch your face/scalp.

You can also use both minox and castor oil
