'AI detectors' are no proof. I've looked at it from the teachers perspective and AI detection is not very accurate.

Teachers see students use AI all the time, but only in few cases someone gets an actual allegation for fraud. So you've probably used it too blatantly.

Even if they don't have proof and you say you didn't use AI, they will know that you did it and your trust-level and reputation will be gone.

It's better to admit to using AI and make up a good reason like not knowing the AI rules so you can still retake the exam.

In this case its like talking to the cops, you’d be better off lying nothing good comes from telling the truth

Only because ai detectives are bullshit, they aren’t entirely accurate and you can argue that if they bring it up. I’ve scanned papers before with 0 ai and I had one come up to 30%.

It’s not like they have definitive proof you used ai like a camera in your room, but if the whole assignment is copy and pasted that might be a bigger issue.

If it was me I’d hold my ground if you barley used it, they will try to make you cave and snitch on yourself during the meeting just like the police try to do when they have little evidence.

I don’t see any benefit of telling the truth, unless like you said iT says chat gbt 4.0 or completely pasted.
