How did China win? Pakistan was equipped with Chinese air defense system and India literally raided pak airbases. Almost all drones striked pakistans deep territory. Chinese weapons and defense infrastructure has always been undermined and underestimated by the west. The Rafale was considered to be miles better than the JF-17 yet JF-17 was able to keep up with rafale. PL-15 is also battle tested now. Even India underestimated PAF defense capabilities and carelessly fired their ballistic missiles due to which they lost the rafale jets but India after it's initial raid learnt it's lesson and only after reliably learning about their defense positions engaged with the HQ-9 and HQ-16 and took it down. This is middle finger to the west making the made in China memes and also a proof that Pakistan is no Palestine to be played around with.

Pakistan on the other hand has indigenous American and Pakistan aircraft. IAF can ground strike but in dogfights it is utter shit since 1965. This is because PAF also is very rigorous in conducting exercises with Arabs, Americans and Chinese. Also they follow a modern doctrine while India has just began to start that. That day was a clear failure of strategy, doing missions like that without stealth capabilities against a nation on alert and modern defense systems. IAF needs to get better at all aspects and not just pray on the hope that an "invincible" fighter will bail them out
