When it comes to bone health and maintaining bone volume, estrogen (specifically estradiol) is generally more beneficial than dihydrotestosterone (DHT).

Here's a breakdown:

Estrogen and Bone Health:

  • Estrogen (estradiol) plays a crucial role in maintaining bone density and preventing bone loss. It helps regulate the balance between bone resorption (breakdown) and bone formation by inhibiting osteoclasts, which are cells responsible for breaking down bone tissue.
  • In both men and women, low levels of estrogen are associated with an increased risk of osteoporosis and bone fractures. This is why postmenopausal women, who experience a dramatic drop in estrogen levels, are more prone to osteoporosis.
  • Men also produce estrogen, primarily through the conversion of testosterone to estradiol via the enzyme aromatase, and this estrogen plays an important role in maintaining bone density.

DHT and Bone Health:

  • DHT (dihydrotestosterone) is a more potent androgen than testosterone, but it does not convert to estrogen. While androgens (testosterone and DHT) do support bone health to a degree, their role is less prominent than that of estrogen.
  • DHT itself does not directly influence bone volume to the same extent as estradiol. It's more involved in other tissues, like skin, hair, and the prostate, than in bones.

Impact of 5-Alpha Reductase Inhibitors on Bone Health:

  • 5-alpha reductase inhibitors (5-ARIs), such as finasteride or dutasteride, block the conversion of testosterone into DHT. While this reduces DHT levels, it can increase the amount of testosterone available to be converted into estradiol.
  • Increased estradiol levels resulting from the use of a 5-ARI may actually be beneficial for your bones, as higher estradiol levels help maintain bone density.

Summary:

  • Estrogen (estradiol) is generally more important for bone volume and health than DHT.
  • 5-alpha reductase inhibitors may reduce DHT levels, but they could lead to higher estradiol levels, which might benefit your bone health rather than harm it.
If you're planning to take a 5-AR inhibitor and you're concerned about bone health, it seems likely that the increase in estradiol will provide protective benefits for your bones. However, it's always a good idea to discuss this with your healthcare provider to ensure the treatment aligns with your overall health goals.

then why does every second retard on here want to nuke their estrogen with AI jfl. This forum is overly obsessed with dht.

bone is life
Heighmaxxing purposes
Also estrogen increase igf-1 so its kinda retarded
If we inject a high estrogen guy with hgh and a low estrogen guy with hgh
The high estrogen one is gonna have higher igf-1

this is why being fat during puberty optimal, giga high igf-1 levels

Also high igf-1
Cause igf-1 increase dht
Thats why their are tall fat people (high estrogen high igf-1 high speed growth velocity but growed up till 17-19)
And skinny tall people (low estrogen and high hgh so mid growth velocity and growed up till 19-21)

Because of testosterone, not dht
so you will continue this low iq legacy?:lul:

DHT and testosterone are androgens, meaning masculinizing hormones, they do the same effect because they bind to the same cell receptor, the only one difference is that DHT has more binding affinity to the androgen receptor,it means it binds for more time.

So,how testosterone and DHT can have different effects if both binds to the same receptor and hormones only works binding to a cell receptor?

Dht is androgenic, T is anabolic.

T increases muscle and bone growth while dht pretty much only affects soft tissue.
