So you see all these poverty meals and their recipes being posted. Now these are good except for 2 things

1. Only do it if you have a fixed routine and can prepare food for an entire week/month. Buying in bulk and storage is important to keep things cheap, so you need a fridge too.

2. Make sure you eat enough macros and include whole foods too, even if some are a bit more on the expensive side. No point eating beans, lentils, rice and chicken only. Veggies and fruits are good in moderation, small portions.

Most of all, dont do this shit if you dont have the capacity to cook large batches or your schedule is incredibly random, such as a travelling job. It doesnt matter since you are wasting time and time is more important than money

once I move into my dorm for college I’m planning on buying huge hunks of meat and buying a grinder and just grinding all of the meat and having it with like potato’s and I’ll have that every single day

Does your dorm floor have a fridge ? Mogs if thats the case, I had to climb two floors to get drinking water

Also get a good kettle that will last your entire college life. Buy once cry once. Better to go for conventional cooking vessels if your dorm has provision imo. Then it fits perfectly with the cheap recipes. I bought an electric kettle, a cheap one at that, like a retard and it limited my options

Yeah you are set then. You can also look at pot cooking if that piques your interest. I asked one of my friends who does it and he said its good for cooking for a week
