I'm 17 and i'm hard chewing gum everyday is it bad for my jaw devellopement? I've heard that it compress you're tmj and it stop Jaw from growing

LOL i chewed like crazy from ages 12-16 but i stopped and my jaw grew like crazy i have high bone mass now, just look at brad pitt, but u might trade it for your cheekbone projection coz i heard that big masseters can weigh your upper maxilla and your cheekbones down

I used mastic gum while on cruise doses of test and my jaw and temporalis were growing so quickly that I decided to stop

Jaw has high androgen receptor density, combine that with high levels of test and consistent training and it will grow quickly. Same story for any other muscle group with high androgen receptor density such as neck, traps, forearms and upper chest.

Tough chewing during pubarty increase bone mass in the zygomatic area and give it a lateral projection meaning your cheekbones are gonna pop out and make it more higher set. There are plenty medical studies about it and here is a video where Dr.Ramirez explains it. He talks here about it (at min. 53-55):

stop chewing hard gum cus ur probably chewing wrong, it will make u recessed. chew real hard foods and learn how to chew correctly

There are muscles in your jaw. Build those muscles and you’ll enhance your jaw but don’t build them to much cause you don’t want to look like a ogre.

That’s bs. Just look at our ancestors massive jaws who chewed raw meat 7 hours a day. We are born to chew a lot and it is even proven that soft diet makes us ugly. And When you not chew enough you will get bone loss in the face and it will speed up aging. Just look up some studies and you will find out how important chewing actually is.

Completely false information. It’s actually quite the opposite bro. When we chew forcefully, we create a cell called Osteoblasts in our maxilla and mandible and this cell is responsible for the remodelling and growing of the jaw bones. You can absolutely see good results with mastic gum or hard gum but you have to be careful to not damage you’r tmj. Just chew slowly, forcefully and ofc in both sides and not over do it. But for best results, chewing hard food like steak, carrots and nuts are the best for it.

The improvement of the Masseter muscle is just a bonus. Chewing tough food for a long period of the changes the complete bone structure of the maxilla and mandible.

that’s bs bro. Just chew hard food and don’t listen to these newcells. But if you are under 21 the results are much better then if you are older then 21.

I agree that chewing hard foods is good, but I don't like hard gum because it doesnt give the same effects as hard food, but thats mainly due to people not knowing how to chew correctly.
