Chin jutting

Hi everyone, I have a short chin and it’s somewhat recessed. I’m fifteen and I really want to fix it.. if you want pictures for reference just ask.. what I’ve been doing is jutting my mandible forward, which basically causes a posterior open bite, my bite normally is fine and I’ve had orthodonture however the jutting fixes the appearance of recession and a short chin. Could this have negative side effects??? If so, what? What alternative solutions are there for me to try?

It might mess up your side profile by making it look unnatural. But I don’t see any issues if you’ve already assessed that your side looks fine while jutting.
