that's quite a lot of cultural relevance when you think about it. prior to the 1980s, japan pretty much exported zero culture. china's influence has also grown since the 1970s. i don't disagree with your points, there will never be a cultural takeover of the rest, for the reasons you describe and a whole host more. but where might asian cultural influence be in another thirty years time?

In the end of the day you can do the whole recipe, without the main ingredient it will never be the same. There's also another important fact that tends to get lost on weebs: The fact that most people in Japan don't even watch anime and associate it with nerds/losers/creeps/etc. I find it hilarious that Japan's most famous cultural export is actually looked down upon back in Japan.
