I have been reading ancient chinese philosophy, mainly the analects of Confucius. Reading it made me quickly realize how this man alone laid the foundations for chinese society, even to this day.

Confucian philosophy centers around a rational calm state of mind. Virtues are to be exhalted. None shall live by sin. Every person has a role in society. A persons own identity is not too important because society and it's structural integrity are more important. Respect your parents, elders, superiors and kings. Do not rebel against them and in time fulfill your role of the parent, elder and superior.

Indeed. On paper it raises mindless slaves who question nothing and do everything they are told without resistance.

Props to that .is post. Pure poetry. Beautiful.
