Choosing between European jaw surgeons

I have proposals from Raffaini, Zarrinbal and Defrancq. R and D are offering straight bimax with genioplasty. Z is offering bimax with CCW rotation and chin wing. To those knowledgeable about orthognatic surgery: which of these three is likely to give the best aesthetic result? Which is the most blackpilled? The price is roughly the same for all 3 (~$15k).

I would without hesitation remove Defrancq from that list. I myself am torn between choosing Z or R. After having given it a lot of thought - I will most likely be going with R unless I am going to have a chinwing done (unlikely) due to the death sentence that is asymmetry. I would be highly interested in having a private conversation with you - if you are keen?

Kinda off topic but does anyone know similar aesthetically "knowledgeable" (as in they fix both aesthetic and functional issues) within the US? All of the popular surgeons on these forums are located within Europe (Defrancq, Raffaini, Zarrinbal, etc).

In terms of aesthetics focused maxillofacial surgeons? Gunson, Sinn, Steinbacher, Joseph, Deschamps-Braly, Antipov, Posnick (retired but taught tons of surgeons), probably lots more I don't know about.

Thanks for the names. I'll check them out.

Would you say they would perform better or worse than someone like Raffaini?

Depends, I don't have experience with everyone on that list and think more of some than others. But in general I think what sets Raffaini apart from most other maxillofacial surgeons is his skill with Rhinoplasty, assuming you like the very refined nose he favors.

Yeah he has suggested "high cheekbone implants" with peek. I will ask him to be more specific. Only thing is, it would increase the price by 8k. Same with Z who has suggested ZSO.
23k for all that is an insanely good deal.
bimax in america can drop you 30-80k

Yeah I'm inclined to agree, if for no other reason than his age. For a Raffaini type maxillofacial surgeon in the US I'd take a look at Gunson, Steinbacher, pretty much anyone who trained under Posnick, and perhaps Antipov although I have no personal experience with him. If you just want a really good Bimax surgeon with no additional plastic surgery like implants or rhino, I'd add Relle in LA as well. Stay far away from Schendel in Cali

Do you guys know how much approximately R will charge for chin-jawline + cheek implant?

Also he photoshops his pics and is weird

iirc he has his patients stay in his house during recovery

I think Raffaini prefers Bimax with fat grafting to implants, but maybe someone from Europe who's seen him can chime in for sure.

I'm hoping you're confusing Sinn with Sailer, if not then we need a complete and total shutdown of maxillofacial surgeons until we can figure out what the hell is going on lol

Dr Kater is supposed to be good too.
Otherwise I think Dr Z is the best.

I went to a highly known surgeon (shared name in PM with some). If you want jaw surgery and actually need your bite fixed, I would go with Raffaini or Zarrinbal if you're strictly looking at Europe. I visited Zarrinbal and have shared my thoughts on his jaw surgery, I think he's better for chin wings/camouflage if you don't need CCW/CW jaw surgery although he can still do jaw surgery well. Of course my advice is slightly bias as I've only consulted with Alfaro, Raffaini, Zarrinbal while I was in Europe and there's likely good results from other docs.
