Clav recommends 200-300g carbs pre workout that sounds like a crazy high amount. Over 1110kcal calories for 200g carb alone for sure. Is this right?
Is the 2 hour thing right. Difficult to do workouts in the morning waiting 2 hours.

Nah he really says 200-300 pre workout.

That sounds more normal. How many calories?
Like 500 probably

1g of carbs is 4 calories so if you get something like gummy worms which is basically pure carbs you eat around 400 worth

But gummy worms you'd have to eat closer to workout no? Idk why he says 2 hours pre

I wouldnt stop eating if i ate 200 grams of carbs pre workout

I only drink black coffee and take nicotine as a pre workout meal then binge on carbs before sleep

As long as I get at least 50 grams of carbs 30-60 minutes before my workout, I notice zero difference in performance going higher.

100g is plenty. You're not gonna burn 400kcal of muscle glycogen.

I think it’s to do with the pump and more glucose storage the better logic. Same goes with why you have to consume sufficient amount of creatine that is stored in the muscles

Most of the health benefits associated with exercise are due to exercise using glucose

U should probably eat carbs if you do intense workouts tho

I mean he's clearly doing something right.
He is exchanging his future health for success in the moment. He's gonna look like SHIT in a decade, while everyone who stays clean and natty and only does sparse high ROI hardmaxxes will chill on the beach with excellent looks and health. He's burning hot, but he will burn out quickly

for an average person you wouldn't need more than 60-90g pre-workout as your body cannot possibly use any more than that during one workout, even if you were to be doing a long fullbody session. Even in that case you can bring some type of sugary drink and just have it as intra like 50 minutes in. Don't listen to clav cuz he only larps in the lifting community and has no idea what he's talking about.

He's not doing sunbeds so he's preserving his skin. Only taking TRT dose test. He wouldn't be doing that if he wasn't thinking long term.

Is it worth doing an intra drink or snack for the pump?

IF your workouts are long and you feel burnt out like 2/3 into it. at the end of the day you don't need to overthink it.

Thats nothing
Yea ik i only have like 30 grams of carbs as pre workout as my glycogen stores are full and ready to go as i eat a sufficient amount of carbs throughout the day leading up to my workout. I don’t need that much extra carbs it’s just adding calories. I only need a little bit of simple carbs for a boost.
