Over the past 3 years I have been through multiple orthodontists, trying to find solutions for my overbite and upper teeth crowding. (mostly trying to bind bimax or other surgical solution referrals), every single ortho just recommends wisdom & molar extractions and braces.
I have had multiple doctors say my overbite, is not worth the trouble for and that I am enough without it.
My overbite is a class ii malocclusion, 5mm distance.
I only know this because i over hear it when the ortho talks to the technician
Every single one never tells me this and just tries to reassure me that my overbite isn't that bad.
It is also incredibly hard to just outright ask for surgical solutions and or orthodontic solutions like damon braces, or marpe. This is because of how nd and incel like i sound trying to explain it, even when I have tried to larp sleep apnea and having other airway troubles.
One of my female friends were telling me about this one orthodontics practice she has gone to which has offered solutions of palate expander, braces and double jaw surgery.
Hearing this i ask for the name and book scans and consultations
I then go for the consultation with the main doctor, some overweight balding guy. He then just prescribes me with the same gist i get every time of extractions and braces, and when he asks me about what i think about it, and I tell him I'd prefer to not lose any teeth, and how I am suggesting marpe or damon braces, he starts insinuating that I am extremely insecure and that I have been easily influenced by the trend of looksmaxxing, (both my parents in the room by the way) and starts talking about the 60 minutes episode he watched and started talking about how clavicular has sprouted these negative ideas in young men.
I am severely recessed, and i need at a minimum orthodontic intervention, i cannot keep jutt maxxing just to feel human.
Fuck all of these orthodontists, fuck australia and tall poppy syndrome and not being able to get the help i need, fuck clav for making looksmaxxing mainstream and fuck this orthodontist for giving a girl the help she needs but not me.
