I am really into colognes. Idk why I guess it’s just one of those strange interests. Doesn’t matter that much for looksmaxing but a good scent is definitely a halo.
Here’s my short list recommendations of what to buy and what to avoid:
Do not buy:
Dior Sauvage
The essential. This cologne is very strong and long lasting for the price and is a favourite. Why avoid? It is the single most common cologne out there. Everyone smells like Sauvage, you should try to stand out more.
Bleu De Chanel:

The second essential cologne that every man seems to have. This is so good (better than Sauvage) and used to be my go-to but once again this scent is everywhere. You will be seen as another NPC wearing the same thing everyone else is.
Versace Eros:

Maybe my favourite bottle design of any cologne, but it’s just not that good. Jeremy Fragrance convinced me to buy this a while back and now I realize how mid it is. Cookie cutter cologne.
Cartier declaration:
Same thing as Versace, when you pay premium prices you should get more than just a regular smelling cologne.
Here’s all the ones you should buy I can’t give a description for every one but go to a cologne store and see which one of these you like.
Any Jean Paul Gaultier (my usual cologne)

Spice bomb (great scent)

white Montblanc Legend Spirit (best bang for buck)

One million (Jeremy Fragrance’s favourite cologne and my 2nd most used)
Invictus (can’t go wrong with this)
2 colognes (one for winter and one for summer) are really all you need. Go grab 2 good ones for like $200 it’s a good investment. The ones I listed are all reasonable prices, I have never bought super high end ones so I wouldn’t know (paying that much for cologne seems like a ripoff). All the ones I listed are also for young people making them ideal for clubbing or the classroom, none of those old man scents. My #1 rec would be Jean Paul le male for like $70. They discontinued my cologne which is Jean Paul ultra male but le male is still a very good cologne.
