I’m currently past halfway in Josef Alber’s book in the topic, Interaction of Color

I can highly recommend this read to anyone who’d like to know more about how our eyes perceive colors and how they interact with each other - something that makes us understand clothing combinations better

I’m looking to apply this knowledge to imrove my gardrobe and make it unique.

Parallel to deeping my scope in color theory, I have also started to mingle around the tailoring at-home community. I’ve heard having the ability to tailor your clothes to your own bodyshape has one of the best returns on investment; you can create custom made outfits to your liking

Solid rec - seems interesting . Will read soon. Tailoring at home is very practical, but takes a while to develop the skills for it as a complete newbie

^ you niggas will never ascend clothes wise if you dress like school shooters all your lives. black is a sombre, funereal color, wearing it all the time all around will just make you seem like an NPC

Higher class clothing has even less black than you'd imagine. in the context of suits and such, darker but non-black colors can confer much of that same elegance while still retaining youthfulness. black is more of an 'older man' palette in the context of formal clothing

Even in suits, navy blue (or even dark grey) is much better for most occasions than plain black. Also you cannot wear dress shoes in the shades of brown with a black suit, which greatly limits your clothing options

As @Pharmaceutic has stated, black suits should be reserved for only certain events
