Yeah the people who hate comics and love manga instead are just not smart enough to enjoy a dynamic multi layered plot.

I have manga and I can see why the audience is left and right wing teenagers, and comic books are usually for “nerds” and or people excelling in academics.

The plots are more complex and well thought out

But they are losing popularity and being replaced by anime and manga sadly

the long halloween, the best of the best. it’s what got me into it when i was into it. the older ones usually have the greatest stories. newer ones are unfortunately more liberal, catering to a certain group of people

You should read batman the long Halloween, or batman hush (the story isn’t that good but the art is and it’s an introduction to batman) I would recommend the long Halloween definitely

Yeah it’s a great story, although I do enjoy the new 52 flash and green lantern

I like both, but comics are usually superhero or street level hero stories and manga is a lot of different things

Thanks man I’ll update when I’ve checked them out

they were alright i guess, pre 52 was easily one of the best eras. batman: black mirror was great, there was also grant morrison’s batman run, superman’s all star arc, flash: rebirth, and green lantern’s sinestro corps war. dc actually had actual good shit before they did these weird forced constant reboots and the lgbt liberal fag shit

There is a lot of comics with bad series and terrible writing both marvel and DC

I don't deny that comic have good series and art but most are not known or the series just don't make sense

Unless you read comics from original writers and not from marvel and DC the story art is good but the writing is questionable

The quality of writing from DC and marvel dropped a lot too many crisis and too many multiversal enemy's or the writing just don't make sense idk

manga can have dynamic multi layered plot? there are genera that are made for adults, you literally just watched and read some Shonen series that are made for young men and genialized the whole entire thing

Yeah pre 52 was amazing, all star superman is great also. Now it’s shit but absolute Martian Manhunter looks good. Also it’s quite old but Batman the cult is amazing. I don’t know abt the new Batman hush if it’s good or not

hush is pretty good, loved the comic of it. a shame the movie adaptation was horrible and so different, especially with how they tried to tie it into the dcamu. tomorrowverse also flopped unfortunately. not like they'd invest in animated movies anymore, considering how they seem to mess up anything remotely good, starting with man of tomorrow and its own long halloween adaptation. haven’t read the cult before, but older dc comics tend to have way better writing and character development compared to the newer ones. give hush a read if you can

I have read hush, honestly Jim Lees art is amazing. You should read the cult, it’s one of the best batman comics I would say

it literally dose, manga are literally comics from Japan and that doesn't make it more childish or less complex then comics produced in other parts of this world

I wanna read Invincible soon but that's it.

Some things about comics make me not want to try them out.

1. Superman is too strong
2. Batman's code is retarded
3. They've been around forever and written by different people so plotholes and inconsistencies galore. Along with running out of ideas.
4. I'm sure the MCU has had a negative effect on them.

Have you read any dc comics?

Batmans code is not though, In batman the cult, Batman reveals that he feels crazy and the not killing is more of a personal thing as he wants to seperate himself from all the bad guys, he feels that not killing is the only thing that’s doing that.

Superman is too strong is very true but he still has great story’s just look up reading orders and start from where you want honestly it doesn’t matter as long as you like it

Batmans code makes a lot of sense taking from his character and most hero’s have it only Batman gets shit for it

The mcu is ballocks now mostly new dd is pretty good
