Compare these two lower thirds

Why is the left one so bad? I have drawn a vertical line from the point of their chin and it's about the same level compared to the rest of their faces on both of them. Is his ramus really high? I have the same problem as the guy on the left where my chin slopes and fuses into my neck instead of going straight like the guy to the right.

right is tilting his head down while left is cheating making his chin look more protruding

If you look like the left guy even by tilting your head forward. You have recessed jaw.

Left has bad forward growth, right has good forward growth

Right has better frontal bone projection.
