Yes, you are probably not getting much DHA from flax. I've never taken a DHA/EPA supplement, but it may be reasonable to start.My understanding is DHA and EPA have unique health benefits in themselves and that flax contains mostly ALA, the conversion of ALA to DHA is only like 3% if I remember correctly, I already eat a decent amount of flax in my oats and smoothies
