Contact lenses make eyes look "bigger" and increases scleral show?

Title, I have -4.5 left eye and -4.0 on right. Today I noticed that when I wear my soft contacts my eyes appear bit bigger. I don't have a photo but I took them off got close to the mirror and noticed that my scleral show is definitely less and the size of eye shape overall is different. I also googled some studies that say contact lenses can make eyes more droopy and cause ptosis
Anyway I plan to do LASIK surgery in one year so just making sure if that can also make difference in appearance

They are okay, just need to wash hands and clean them before putting in solution but it takes like 2 minutes.
Glasses suck, they looksminned me to oblivion

No they only cover the iris but there are contacts that cover the white of the eye as well but usually those are the fake ones
