Contact surgeon before or after you have the money?

I don't currently have the money but I want to know the details of the surgery and roughly what the cost is.
Should I wait or just contact the surgeon.
(I will most likely have the money by early next year)

if you've ever worked in a professional setting you know there's nothing more annoying than broke prospects wasting your time. If you're not prepared to make a financial commitment don't bother them or they'll mangle you in surgery for pissing them off.

if you're financing the whole thing that's a different story but you should be prepared to put money in their pockets and a time slot on their schedule.
