We found that, ceteris paribus, male subjects exposed to low prenatal testosterone levels were more likely to overestimate their actual performance. Such overestimation, rather than being a rational strategy to increase motivation and hence performance, showed to be self-defeating.

People with low prenatal T have higher demands on their performance instead of coping with low expectactions like high prenatal T people do.

It's the exact opposite from what OP describes. How is it 'coping' to have high demands on your abilities?

Low prenatal t=overconfidence=delusion/coping. By coping there it means a totally different thing than i meant.
