Could getting leaner look like you have widened PFL from fat distributions shrinking

No. But even if you could you would achieve the opposite by contracting them you would have a narrower PFL. It's one of those things that I would say surgery is the only option but given how uncanny the results of canthoplasty/canthopexy are I wouldn't risk it.
