Alright thx. I'll consult with my surgeon before hand about maybe just expanding my lower jaw before BSSO idk if its necessary tbh, but I think it would look quite good, or maybe I could cope with small jaw implants or smth idk.If you have the plates removed after 3 months, you have to do it close to 3 months though because afterwards bone will start growing into your plates and it becomes an issue to remove them
MSDOWdym expand?
Generally try to do any expansion before DJS.MSDO
Are you getting EASE + MSDO?MSDO
I mean I’m not sure on MSDO nothing is set in stone with that. However I will be getting EASE in January. Are you getting EASE + MSDO?
What are the main differences between the two? Also is MSDO and SARPE the same thing?I mean I’m not sure on MSDO nothing is set in stone with that. However I will be getting EASE in January.
Between SARPE / EASE?What are the main differences between the two?
No.Also is MSDO and SARPE the same thing?
Can I DM you?Between SARPE / EASE?
Its just the type of cut, SARPE uses actual cuts while EASE uses scoring and drilling.
Theres different benefits and disadvantages for both so I guess choosing between them depends on what you want. Theres also other methods of expanding surgically so there are other choices.
No.
MSDO = Its basically cutting the lower jaw/mandible in half and expanding it laterally. (Its mandible expansion)
SARPE = Its basically cutting the top jaw/maxillia's sutures to allow the maxilla to expand through the use of an expander. (Its maxilla expansion.)
