How does Basel 3 impact gold? It makes banks balance sheets look shitter for sure, and makes their returns less attractive, but the knock on impact of that on wider economic stocks is weak, hence the inverse on gold will be weak

basel 3 = banks require a provable 1:1 ratio of physical gold. which means increased demand for physical precious metals and they wont be able to suppress prices through unallocated metals
