Currently recovering from bimax, genioplasty and alloplasty. Regretting ever coming onto this site and being brainwashed into doing this surgery.

true. I had 7mm bsso, 5mm genio down and forward
You went to pag right, he usually does big genio and small bsso because he doesnt rotate much. But it has pros and cons

Thats extremly small movements, i had 12 bsso and 4 genio and those were still quite small
it looks very good so far and I was very recessed before. 12mm at pog makes a big difference

no with ramieri. he offered a djs with ccw and slight maxilla setback that would have been between 13-16mm at pog, but I just stuck with the LJS only plan

Okey i see then the movements can really only go one way. But yea ofc 12 mm pog will do some changes. And yea no wonder your recovery is eazier

Down graft is the hardest to recover from tho as the gap is the biggest.
Anything I can do to help the recovery? I really want to brush my teeth but lips are so swollen and rubber bands won’t let me open my mouth.

I mean it will be hard the first week, thats simply the game. One week of brutal discomfort. After the fourth day you will begin to feel swelling going down. And after 1 week you will prolly feel decent..but it will take longer to feel good ofc. Try to walk as much ss possible, and when you can you should eat as much as possible(blend chicken snd high dense protein food). But you ofc need clean somehow. Because thats giga important. Use a small tooth brush or water pick(some dont recommend), and use mouth wash(chlorhexidine or whatever its called).

Doing nothing is not good, maybe the first day. But after he should move around as much as possible to get the blood flowing

flouride would do the job?

You want the strongest of the strong in the begining and thats chlorhexidine or whatever its called. Your surgeon should tell you. Its very important. And its very important if your surgeon says its okey to start brushing lightly already after every meal

I mean the first week after any surgery is like going thru hell on earth most of the time. Because you barely sleep and you feel extremly fragile. You will be anxious as hell, your body is in extreme alert mode

I can’t stop drooling. Wish I got to stay in hospital longer but was discharged after 2 nights.

You will look a lot more advanced or recessed depending on soft tissue and submental change imo. https://looksmax.org/threads/how-much-did-my-genio-improve-me.669818/ - This was 10mm genio and is much better than many trimax results I see
I mean yea ofc, also depending on the skull size as its relative how much a mm is gonna look. Also the width of the jaw beforehand. I mean overall to talk about mm is useless. But less then 10 mm bsso is a small movement. But i mean if you got good submental a genio itself can make a huge diff

Actually? I went with the most expensive surgeon and feel bad over how much this cost. Heggie is less costly and gave me a quote for like $10,000 excluding other fees.
Dude r u serious

That woulda cost at least 70k usd

Sleeping so fucking brutal. 3:30am rn went to bed at 12am.

it'll take at least 3 months to really see results after genioplasty and bimax but full recovery is around 6-12 months so keep your head up it's early days yet bro. just focus on resting now and follow your surgeon's post op instructions carefully.

I’m regretting getting a 2mm maxilla downgraft. All my facial muscles look like they’re being pulled down and I have more uee exposure now? I look uncanny in the eyes and simian overall.
These were my movements:
Maxilla ML remains 3.3 mm graft maxilla 2mm
Maxilla yaw correct left 6.5
Genio 4mm advance
Man adv to match but pog only comes down 2.5mm
4mm advantage maxilla 6mm ANS
