I owe the forum an apology.

Over the past while, @Curryvicular ’s posting has crossed the line from enthusiastic to shameless. What may have started as jokes, bits, or hustle has, at times, become outright begging and spam. That is not contribution. That is clutter. And whether people found it funny, irritating, or just embarrassing, it is fair to say the point has been made.

So let this be said clearly: my apologies to the forum.

A good forum runs on a certain balance. People come here for discussion, advice, analysis, arguments, entertainment, and the occasional trainwreck. But nobody logs on hoping to be ambushed by another VIP plea dressed up in a different hat. There is a line between self-promotion and becoming part of the wallpaper in the worst possible way, and yes, that line may have been sprinted past at full speed.

This is a pledge to do better.

Less begging. Less spam. Less forcing the joke until it dies a slow and public death. More substance, more restraint, more posts that actually earn people’s attention instead of trying to mug them for it. That should have been the standard from the start.

No more acting like the forum exists as a stage for one man’s VIP telethon. No more making every road somehow lead back to the same request. No more turning persistence into parody.

The truth is simple: if you want support, act in a way that deserves it. If you want respect, stop testing everybody’s patience. If you want people to back you, stop cornering them like a street preacher with a subscription link.

That lesson has been learned. Brutally, perhaps, but learned.

So this thread is both an apology and a reset.

Hold me to it. If I slip back into the same nonsense, feel free to remind me that public shame is free and apparently very effective. From here on, I will try to post with a bit more dignity, a bit more discipline, and a lot less desperation.

That said, in the spirit of forgiveness, healing, and giving troubled souls one final chance at redemption…

…if any generous citizen of this forum felt moved to quietly, nobly, and completely of their own free will buy @Curryvicular VIP, I would consider it a powerful sign that growth is possible after all.

Would you like a version that’s even funnier and more self-aware, or one that sounds more sincere and less theatrical?
