I want to cut from 17–18% body fat down to 8–9%. I’m trying to eat only eggs, beef liver, potatoes, and raw honey. What protein, fat, and carb targets should I aim for during the cut so I don't end up looking like a vegetable?
Macronutrient split depends on what your training looks like but generally for strength training while cutting try to hit
-1.6g/kg of protein (make sure you get it from complete protein sources, I can go a bit deeper if somebody is up to it).
-Then fats you can get away with lower fats than 0.6-1g/kg BUT keep in mind when you go under 0.6g/kg you're putting yourself in real risk of hormonal/micronutrient absorption problems, when cutting and bulking I've always tried to keep it close to 1g/kg (obv when you bulk you might hit a higher amounts of fat but there's barely any benefit there.
-According to exercise science carbs are the king of performance and the rest of your calories should be allocated to carbs.
-Note: While raw honey is natural it is barren of actual micronutrients that your body needs, I would rather you ate fruits and vegetables and added some seeds with the calories that you'd be saving from the honey and focusing on micronutrient rich foods. You're missing Calcium, Vitamin E (which is PITA to get in), manganese and iodine.
-If you want some advice just add a glass of milk a day (whole or skim doesn't matter but ideally skim as you're getting plenty of vitamin A and toxicity could be a bit of a concern), iodised salt, berries (frozen are cheap) and if you're feeling fancy sunflower seeds/almonds...
-The extra advice is a bit too much if you don't wanna overcomplicate it. Keeping it simple might be better in the end, take your time with the cut (don't make it too steep) and good luck bro
