Irrelevant, since we always live in the present.

I don't care about having eaten a good cake yesterday, I am looking forward to eating a good cake today, or tomorrow.

but you have deep trauma from not eating cake yesterday, when everyone was eating it. You could only stare at them while they eat.

Bad analogy because teen love can’t be experienced tomorrow. It’s gone forever after you are an adult

I don't really care as long as I can get cake today or tomorrow.

That's a whole different ordeal. But having eaten cake yesterday doesn't change the fact you're not eating cake today or tomorrow; you're still gonna starve all the same.

Yes, but it's still gone even if you've experienced it. What good is an incredibly good cake if you can only eat it once and never eat it again in your life? I'm interested in pleasures that are tangible and lasting, that I can savour for a long time, and savour again and again.

Ultimately, my point is this: you are always immersed in the Present. Thinking about the past doesn't do you any good.
If there was something really good in your past that you can never experience again, it will only frustrate you to think about it.
If there was something really good in your past that you will never get to experience, it will likewise just frustrate you.

So, just focus on the present and the future.

I think most here don’t just care about the pleasure you missed out but also about the influence not experiencing teen love has on your whole life, development, personality/behaviour etc.

But generally I agree with you that it’s better to focus on the present moment and the future because the past is gone and you can’t change that no matter what

How does teen love impact your life

Had my teen love ripped from me which sent me spiraling into depression it WILL end in disappointment

I can’t fucking cope my manlet 18 year old brother has had 5 gfs between late 2020 and now and now his current gf is fucking hot how can I cope, I’m incel at 21. My older brother had his first gf at 13. Oh well, at least I kissed and hugged with a sort of gf girl when I was 10 :feelsrope:

Missing out on teen love is a brutal pill, but not the worst because many miss out on it.

Also because it's so formative, that and the things that caused it, shape 90% of your personality as an adult, and there are SOME positives in this.

Yep very well said, and like I said, missing out on it form's so much if your adult persona.

Truth is that as u get older, a lot if shit gets worse if u don't adapt to it and dwell on eat came before it, and if that happens u will just spiral into permanent depression, or get in drugs.

This explains it pretty well I think
