Light eyes are much more important for men because in general women can get away with almost everything.

And on top of that light eyes looks much more cold and arguable also more intimidating which is not desired on females. A10 eyes on a man look much better than on a Woman.

Just the basic fact, that lighter colors are percieved as feminine.

Lighter Colored eyes have a feminine appearance, compared to dark colored eyes, which will always look masculine no matter what.
