Anyone came across why lighter eye colours darken with passing years? Any possible explanation? Living in tropics or hotter regions cause darkening? Any methods to reverse them? Thanks 🙏🏼

Eye color often changes during the first year or even longer. Babies aren't born with all the melanin they are destined to have. The maturation process continues post-utero. Eye color isn't set until 2 years of age. Beyond those years it usually stays the same but it could change because of a variety of reasons including some health related issues.

The most probable one, however, is because of sun exposure. Melanin production can be activated through solar exposure, meaning that a prolonged time exposure to the sun could make your eyes darker.
