Why do I feel repulsed by the notion of dating and having to be with someone but at the same time hate being alone. Just feel so distance when trying to talk to someone.

Maybe because dating isn't the only way to form bonds? Lol
It's just one of the most “normal” ways to form relationships

Dating involves a series of artificial steps that can be annoying

I feel the same, like the concept of putting efforts into another like this isn't interesting to me
