day 6 of using tretinoin

lo and behold, only the skin flaking and peeling is present. I believe I didn't hydrate well yesterday but today is 10x better. I'd give it 2 more weeks until I can recover and improve slightly. Thanks to anyone who responded on the previous posts.

Was on tretinoin for 5 months.
Didn’t really do anything.
Best bet is accutane

what's your routine? do you apply tret 2 times a day with moisturizer?

I started by applying a small amount with moisturizer after cleansing for 3 nights, so that was sunday, monday, and tuesday. Also applied sunscreen once i woke up and washed it off. Next week i'll only use it twice on different days of the week.

I don't have acne tbh, just shit pigmentation from sun damage and idk DHT maybe? my skin was top tier prior to me developing facial hair at like 16

you shouldn't be out in the sun when using tret. Dark spots can appear

ik but i use sunscreen and the dark spots aren't that bad
still, sunscreen doesn't reflect 100% of uv rays and the dark spots won't dissapear on their own
