Ever wanted more proof that Corporations don't care about you?
In the United states, you can take out life insurance on literally anybody, whether you don't know them or even if you don't have their permission. As long as you have their personal information.
So many large companies started taking out life insurance policies on their most unhealthy workers, fat, morbidly obese, cancer ridden, extremely disabled. One of these being Wal-mart.
Now, back in the day, these insurance policies would only be called "Key man insurance" because it was only used on employees who were very sick who were critical to the Corporation's existence. Understandable.
Then Corporations started taking out these policies on any old Janitor, and started calling them Janitor insurance.
Then, Walmart started taking it on literally any unhealthy worker, and in memos between their employees, called it "Dead Peasant Insurance." WITHOUT THE EMPLOYEE'S KNOWLEDGE.
Imagine dying in your shitty minimum wage job after years of battling cancer, all your family gets is the rest of the day you died's $52 paycheck whilst your Mega-Corp employer gets thousands. And in their memos call you a Dead Peasant. That's literally how they see you.
