First post just need to get my thoughts out on this matter. On a good day subjectively I am lmtn with decent features but my biggest falio is my shit tier skin. In high school I dealt with horrible cystic acne. I am talking I would get mountains on my face daily with red blotchiness all over. It calmed down for the most part but now I am about to graduate with my engineering degree in a month and I am still breaking out. I have gotten close but not seen clear skin on me in over a decade.
My current protocol right now is 40 mg Accutane. I am on month 4 and overall less lesions but still a couple break outs. I use a moisturizer, gentle cleanser, and spf50. Also taking with antihistamine and fish oil for purging and joint health. I am still breaking out. Not to mention that Accutane has made my face completely flushed and even more red with dry flaky skin and lips.
I have tried tinted spf and BB cream frauding to help redness and complexion but it sits so poorly on my acne damaged faced its extremely obvious with tiny amounts. Not to mention, IMO, getting caught wearing makeup can be a death tier sentence and easily detectable to foids.
I have spent the past decade fighting this shit with treatments, frauding, derm appointments you name it I tried it. Countless money and time. Even once I finish accutane and it works I still have scars left over. It has been my biggest insecurity and I am thinking about just accepting the fact that I wont have clear skin and just cope. I have had decent luck with dating despite it and women who even said they liked it on me so maybe I just accept it.
If you have any thoughts, suggestions, or just had similar experience lmk. It destroys confidence. Be grateful if you have even decent skin its a blessing.
