this is not a very long thread, and if the retard involved would like to debate this/try to debunk what I am saying, I will make a part 2 including all of his claims
as well as responding to whatever his response to this is
to be clear, I did not use GPT for sources, writing, or any part of this thread
anything I did not know, I independently researched.
and this isn't all of his claims, but I'm busy with school work so I can do them another time
enjoy
@Htn2030 'carbs promote inflammation'
this is an awful start, i'm not fully sure where he got any of his information from but I would be open to him providing me with evidence, however my best guess is that he has none
pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov
here is a meta-analysis of 9 randomized trials, you can read it if you want to confirm any points I make here
this also had 838 total participants, so using the 'muh corelation' argument is ignorant here
through this entire analysis, we can conclude that diets high in whole-grains result reduce inflammatory markers
(the ones in question are c-reactive protein, interleukin-6, TNF-a, and it was also shown that the whole-grain rich diet resulted in a significantly decrease in the concentration of CRP)
if carbs truly caused inflammation, this would lead to every cell in our body to be inflamed, due to the fact that our brain literally (primarily) runs of glucose, and so do our RBCs and muscles during any activity
'but muh muh gluconeogenesis'
if you need to me to I can also give a full explanation as to why this isn't sufficient or even remotely optimal.
inflammation is triggered only when something in the metabolic environment is wrong, like if you eat too much or get too fat etc
it is not caused by carbohydrates entering the bloodstream, please feel free to prove me wrong
I thought it would be easier for this segment to just cite an analysis with 9 RCTs instead of giving multiple sources.
ps. just to be clear, very obviously added sugars and ultra-processed carbs can contribute to metabolic issues and inflammation
but here am I talking about whole-grains and healthy carbohydrates, which do reduce inflammation
it would be stupid to say sour patch kids reduce inflammation markers, clearly
@Htn2030 'Carbs Cause Leptin/Insulin Resistance'
if you read through this section of the claim, it is clear to see that this guy is a complete retard, lol
firstly, leptin is a hormone producted by your fat cells (adipocytes)
it signals to the brain about energy stores, for example high leptin would signal that you have enough energy, and vice versa
leptin resistance occurs when the brain stops responding properly to leptin, so the body just assumes its starving even if it is not
leptin does not get inherently messed up by carb intake whatsoever, and its dysfunction is usually just because of too much body fat + chronic inflammation
NOT normal/high carbohydrate intake
here are some of the mechanisms of leptin resistance:
-chronically high leptin levels from too much fat
-inflammatory cytokines from fat tissue
-certain things which are caused by metabolic stress, not dietary carbs (rofl I forgot what exactly this is and its too minimal for me to look into but please feel free)
your claim that insulin/insulin spikes will lead to leptin resistance is ridiculous and completely false
physiological insulin spikes from meals are normal and healthy, this is something that should be happening, not a bad thing
and as for the claim regarding the carbs causing leptin resistance, and this causing insulin resistance - I will provide some studies since it is a statement I don't need to debunk, as it is widely accepted as being false
here is an entire harvard review, please read it if you have the patience
I have already read this in the past, and essentially what it concludes is that:
-high-quality carbohydrates like whole grains are associated with lower leptin/insulin levels, and better insulin sensitivity as opposed to less carbs, or refined ones
yes, this does not show exact cause and effect, but it is very solid evidence that I wanted to add
@Htn2030 'raw diet causes ascensions, you can find them on tiktok'
this isn't diet related, but I just found it funny how stupid this
these ascensions are caused by puberty my nigga, or other aspects
eating raw foods did not contribute to a single one of these ascensions
and even if they did (spoiler: they didn't), you would have no way to prove it, making your argument stupid
@Htn2030 'parasites like salmonella are not bad for you, they live in symbiosis with the body'
for reference, his evidence here was a goatis video link, funniest shit ever
just because the bacteria in the gut microbiome - non-harmful bacteria - technically live in symbiosis, it is an outrageous claim to state that harmful bacteria such as salmonella and e. coli act in this same way
and another one of his claims in this segment was that the bad bacteria live in the intestines, so you wouldn't be eating them in raw foods anyway
this is well-established as untrue, some parasites reside do in the intestines of animals like tapeworms in beef or pork, but others infect muscle tissue, organs, or fish flesh, which humans can ingest
this is maybe the most retarded claim out of all of them
just because they may begin in the intestines, does not mean they end up staying there
this is not hard to find out, just do some independent research

my apologies for not covering everything here, I just wanted to make a small note on some of the insanely incorrect claims he made.
@Htn2030 please feel free to debate any of my arguments, I am interested in having a debate
but please, next time, provide a shred of evidence which isn't a goatis video
if anyone read, lmk what you thought

Whole grain diet reduces systemic inflammation: A meta-analysis of 9 randomized trials - PMC
Observational studies had suggested an inverse association between whole grain consumption and concentration of inflammatory markers, but evidence from interventional studies was inconsistent. Therefore, we conducted a meta-analysis of randomized ...

Foodborne Illness Acquired in the United States—Major Pathogens
Short and long term mortality associated with foodborne bacterial gastrointestinal infections: registry based study - PubMed
Infections with all these bacteria were associated with an increased short term risk of death, even after pre-existing illnesses were taken into account. Salmonella, Campylobacter, and Yersinia enterocolitica infections were also associated with increased long term mortality.
