Dental implants and impact on facial structure

So how exactly do dental implants affect you face? ik if your younger and you are still "developing" then it can be a negative but alot of guys still can grow past 18 and what if you had a missing tooth you think its a good idea to get an impant or no? I have a missing tooth becase of an injury I had when i was younger and i chipped it, only like last year did I ended up taking the tooth out because over the years i had an infection happening and it could have been life threatening if left untreated. Now i need an implant but idk if its the right time, like im 20 but like at the same time idk if i should wait or not.

im just mainly thinking about how it could impact my face later on. Cuz it will be upper jaw (front tooth) and and type of shifting on the face could mess up my teeth since these implants osteointegrate so they dont shift like acc teeth would.

yes but facial growth still occurs tho is the thing. I aint saying i dont want to get the procedure but like i really wanna be precise is all. my doc said its fine to do, but i wanna know if they can or cannot limit you

even if it occurs it’s probably slight change and most likely fixable
i think it’s better to have a nice smile and not look like a pirate personally
