Dental work in the U.S. is too expensive.

My wife has to get a root canal, two wisdom teeth extractions, a filling, and a cleaning. We got no insurance and all that's gonna cost well over $5000. The root canal and restoration alone will be at least $3000.

About 3 years ago I had a root canal/restoration done in Vietnam. The dentist did a very good job and it's held up great. How much did it cost? $50 with no insurance.

I don't know why middle class folks even choose to stay in America. They work 60-80 hours a week just to be able to barely live above paycheck to paycheck. Why not go abroad, work and average of 35 hours a week, and save 90% of what you earn?

True. Most people try to leave the third world but the people here are ungrateful. Most people that live from paycheck to paycheck do so because they live above their means and not because muhh America sucks.

In Europe many people go to Hungary for their dental work. Good quality for a good price.

Yes, America does have a culture of living above your means. But America sucks too. The only thing that doesn't suck is the constitution and the bill of rights. As for work/life balance, it sucks. Americans jobs are their lives. They live to work and not the other way around. Go to any party where the majority of guests are over 30 years old and listen. What do they talk about more than anything else? Their jobs. Think about it this way. Most of their time doesn't belong to them. It belongs to someone else. And when they get time that does belong to them they tend to spend half of it talking about when it doesn't.

Don't get me started on stripmalls and Walmart. I can't stand em. It's a wonder that you can go to any rural place in New York and it'll look the same as a rural place in Oklahoma or whatever. American life is like a synthetic nightmare.

That's a double edged sword. Our medical research blows everywhere else out of the water. You don't get that with free healthcare.

Then why are you here instead of in Vietnam? Let me guess, your wife...

It would be cheaper to change wife than to fix her teeth

Many of those foreigners that work those hours in this nation usually take that money back to whence they came. So when they need dental work - they have that done back home. Costa Rica also has cheap dental services. Esp implants and crowns are much cheaper there.

Yes, so that she can have the same passport as me. She'll have to reside in America for 3-5 years for that. After it's done we're off to Vietnam.

You're comparing apples to raisins. Breakthroughs in things like stem cell research and neurology is no useless feat.

Almost none of recent medical breakthroughs and most places where money is going to, helps young people. It's all either:

1) Improving life of oldcels.
2) Improving the life of unlucky people with certain medical conditions/accident damage.

Medical sciences has done nothing to improve the life of the average <50yo person for the past 100 years or so tbh.

Like how in the netherlands we are spending tens of billions now to improve cancer treatments. Cancer... which almost purely affects oldcels.

I think it's a waste of money tbh.

Gook dentists are far cheaper and better imo. A kike endodontist overcharged me and I ended up paying $1600 for one root canal.

I own commercial buildings so I can't leave the country even if I wanted to.

Sadly no, I now have disability insurance. I was there for like 30 minutes
It's not something that you should have to get. I hate the thought of having to continue forking over so much money for numerous kinds of insurance.

I have insurance for free, because of my mental disability, and they give me money also. Depression/anhedonia counts as a disability

Life in America is good if you make $65k in LCOL areas and $100k+ in HCOL areas. This is the minimum needed to enjoy USA.

Gooks might aswell be crypto Jews when they're dentists aswell, all dentists for that matter are crypto Jews, I would recommend getting a consultation from 3 dentists and make sure they all point out the same problem without telling them what you think the problem is.

I am pretty sure a gook dentist told me I had a cavity when I did not. I actually take care of my teeth, and this was when I was a child, and I think he permafucked my mouth by putting a filling in when I didn't need one.

what's your take on work/life balance in china then if you think the US is bad?
Great for people like me. Sucks for most locals. Vietnam's pretty straight though. More flexible and laid back lifestyle for everyone. Cambodia too, even though Cambodia can't really afford to be like that.

Vietnam is more third world on paper. Quality of life is much better though. Less of a rat race and people seem way happier.
