Vietnam is more third world on paper. Quality of life is much better though. Less of a rat race and people seem way happier.

I only found HK, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Shanghai, and Beijing to be hyper competitive(generally tier 1 cities). Every where else seemed laxed to me. Even Chengdu seemed laxed for being tier 1. Though u probably have a better sense than me since I visited for vacation.

Yes, so that she can have the same passport as me. She'll have to reside in America for 3-5 years for that. After it's done we're off to Vietnam.

Most companies in China have a 12/6 work standard. 12 hours a day 6 days a week. This was inspired by Jack Ma. For local men the grind is always hard No matter where you live.

No, China's not gonna do anything. Despite all the hype China's in no position to make war with anybody except their own civilian populous. It can't even feed it's population without relying on imports, and they're due to face a major population chrisis here within the next 20 years. That's why the govt has been aggressively encouraging families to have at least 3 children. If something doesn't change soon there won't be enough slaves to maintain the facade which is China. China's nothing more than a rusty bucket with a fresh coat of paint. They purposfully use bad materials in most of their buildings and roads so they can keep people employed by constantly having to fix them. It's like that with everything in China. Appearance of quality is more important to them than actual quality. They cut too many corners in every echelon of their society. If China were to make war with a foreign nation then the world would get to see just how broken China actually is, and the CCP knows it.

Dude, if you've ever lived in SE Asia you'd know that planes making noise would be the least of your worries. You can never escape the sound of motorbikes and beeping horns. For what it's worth, I've never heard the sounds of planes in Saigon. The most popular districts are well enough away from the airport.
