Dentist said I need bimax

Hello boyos,

So after getting off the phone with a nurse today, she let me know that I'd need bimax surgery for my subhuman lower third which has some pretty gnarly overcrowding.

I need lower jaw advancement to fix my class 2 deep bite, and I need some form of palatal expansion to fix my narrow upper palate.

My X-Ray indicated a very brachycephalic skull (over tbh).

my chin is quite large tho, I'm afraid it looks too big and forward in comparison to my maxilla when I smile.
I just don't bite down on my molars and my face looks very normal tho

Hmmm... I see. But, surprisingly enough, even though I have an overbite, I have relatively large masseter muscles, and even though my lower jaw is smaller, my chin does protrude somewhat forward.

So, with lower jaw surgery + genioplasty, I think my lower jaw can ascend

Im surprised insurance is even covering jaw surgery for you when you've never even had braces. I would think the orthodontists would recommend you do that because your teeth are messed up as well as your bite. We're from the same province, so I know what the process is like because I was trying to get free bimax and they said you need at least a 7mm overbite/overjet. How many mm is your bite?

Bro I was just looking at the first picture and holy shit your beard saves you hard. From the front you dont even look recessed but I could tell from the way your lips overlap under the beard that it definitely is 7mm+ overbite. Lmk when you find out bc im curious.

TBQH, it's very arguable.

Brachycephaly is ONLY a chad trait, if the zygos are broad + protruding forward, the maxilla swings slightly upwards, and there is alot of chin height + chin forward projection.

BTW, do I have a long midface? I think I do. That seems to be a dolicocephalic trait
