Depression and accutane

Has anyone have gotten strong sideeffects, which he ofcourse disliked, but kept going?
tbh I take 20mg accutane on 66kg since almost 2 1/2 months and it really plays with my mood.
I hate the mood swings.
Is there anything I could do?
Can I talk with my psychologist about that or should I just let it?
tbh I want clear and beautiful skin asap.
I have a appointment at the dermatologist in about 2 weeks.

Im pretty sure depression on accutane is a myth lol, maybe ur just depressed from ur acne. Talk to ur derm tho mayb he can do smth about it

Mood swings are reported on accutane but the link is kinda debated. Isotretinoin basically affects things like retinoid receptors in the brain and serotonin signalling, which is why some people get mood swings. That said, a lot of studies show mood actually improves as acne clears, but there’s a smaller group where it gets worse. If it’s affecting you, definitely tell your derm, they’re supposed to monitor that. No point pushing through if it’s messing with your head.
