I’ve got a cheap chinese 1.0mm derma roller from amazon and have been using it for a little over a month, I use it for acne scars and collagen. I see many posts here about it being bad and tearing up your skin or actually decreasing collagen. I’m now scared to use it, I need to know. Is a dermastamp better? Is it worth it buying a really expensive one?

I think it’s bad tbh or at least a good chance it’s bad.

I wouldn’t risk it.

Im only using 0.25mm, tried 0.5mm and it didnt feel right.

If you're going after acne scars I suggest using lancets (what diabetics use to draw blood) instead. Just poke at the affected areas, you can go in with high precision all different angles and its less likely to cause unwanted damage. Also you can just toss them as you use them so you don't have to worry about disinfection.
