Design session with Eppley

I agree that you don’t need the jaw implant to add vertical length very much, if at all. Most of the aesthetic benefit in the jaw for you would come from adding horizontal width.
you clearly underestimate the effect of vertical length of the ramus from the front. Look cavill , depp, etc. vertical lenght is everything. now look ryan gosling. its not the width so much, its the vertical length. depp doesnt have so much of width, yet it looks amazing because he has a lot of vertical height.

Hello Looksmax community.

I am going to undergo a jaw wraparound and custom cheek implant with Dr.Eppley on June 11th. Today was my first design consult with Eppley and I have another chat with him on Monday. So basically I have 3 design sessions, however he doesn't count them until he sends in a design to the manufacturer, which he said he would not as he thought that I should do some more research as to what he calls the ogge curve cheeks as well as studying the jaw angle in which I want to go with over the weekend. He gave me this proposed design change today. View attachment 397542

So im going after a pretty specific result. I dont have a recessed jaw nor do I have nonexistent cheekbones. Mainly want the cheeks to appear more prominent and balance out the eye area. He said that these implants don't really make your jaw square. To be honest, it was a lot of stuff that I didn't understand as im not familiar with plastic terminology nor have I had an operation like this one. One of the models I showed him had a squared jaw that was vertically low. He said II should be aiming for something highly elevated. I'm having another chat with him on Monday. But this is the jaw and cheeks that i'm trying to achieve. View attachment 397489View attachment 397491

Forward projection and sharpness are key. Here is what I currently look like.

My aim is more pronounced mandibular angles as well as forward projection. Basically, im trying to get as close to those first models as possible. Eppley seemed to be somewhat cautious and honest as far as desired result as there is an aesthetic risk if the jaw is angled too low. Something about the tissue not fully coming over the implant. But considering that I only have probably a few chances to revise things, are the projections given to me by the scanning going to be enough to get a similar jaw to the two examples above or should I ask for more outward projection in the chin and wider projection in the mandibular? Or is that a result that is not going to be realistic with this surgery? Any advice is appreciated as I am really trying to wrap my head around this and need to know what to ask for when going for these results before Monday
basically what it should have done is bimax

Read, good thread

another sad tale of IQcels hardmaxxing with these greedy surgeons.

this is what he should've done:
genio CW rotation
bimax
saddled infra to match the facial advancement probably around 0.5-.08 mm
zygo implant that is:
1- 1.5 mm and very VERY slightly into upper maxilla, like 1 mm after the suture
2- its girth should fade as it progress to lateral side, like 0.8 mm in lateral surface and completely fading as its goes to temporal process

IDK when these retard IQtruecels realize that ideal zygo isn't suppose to stick out of your face especially at the temporal process.

lateral surface: 2024 07 23

temporal process: 2024 07 23 3

and stop doing jaw implants jaw width is overrated and retarded.

Jfl, OP first posted a bunch of professional model pics where he looked great, and then some pics rotting on his basement where he is extremely unkempt, fat, and swollen. Everything was wrong here, he should have simply not been a moron and taken pics at similar angles and lighting for the before and after and at least waited until he wasn't very swollen to share them here.

About the designs, IMO the wraparounds weren't needed and he just needed AT MOST a small bimax to fix the overbite, but even then wasn't a necessity as he was already good-looking. The infra-malars design was also pretty meh and feminine, but this is the hardest procedure to get right so can't put it 100% as eppley's fault.

Honestly, if there is any lesson that should be taken from this is to 1. do proper research for surgery, which means both on your own but also other people who are knowledgeable/have gotten procedures/different surgeons, and 2. DO NOT post your results until you're fully healed and make sure to use similar pics on the before and after, otherwise you end up like the OP here, bullied, depressed, and getting stupid mouth surgeries. If I had myself posted what I looked like 1-month post OP on bimax, where I was still clearly swollen and weird looking but not as much as on the first few weeks where it's obvious you've had surgery to anyone, I would have probably gone insane jfl.

I gotta disagree with ppl saying he still looks bad though. He has clearly ascended imo, his face is, at least on these more recent pics, much more robust and appealing than before while still natural. Remember that stuff that adds volume to your face usually reflects more on your IRL look than your pics, so he could look even better in practice if those aren't cherrypicked. Only thing is that idk what he has done to his face after all these years so maybe he has gotten a bunch of other procedures and revisions.

good summary on what you should do and what not if you do surgery

Did you have your skull 3d printed out or something? Did you design it mm by mm with him handcarved or was it just him presenting his prototype
