I wanna know if anyone legitimately mouthbreathed their entire childhood

Same. I had allergies, asthma, and allergic reactions to basically everything (I remember one time I had to be hospitalized because I had a reaction to a sweater I was wearing, my asthma flaired up so much)

One of the few reasons im here is because my lower third got fucked up from nail biting + mouthbreathing 24/7 between 12-15 yrs old.

So I had to fix it via unironically mewing + treatment and late puberty to get half my facial bones back before the damage was permanent.

I remember one time, a few years ago, I also had to go to the hospital because my asthma had suddenly gotten far worse due to a cold I caught at the time. My blood oxygen levels had literally dropped to 80% (95-100% is healthy jfl), I was struggling to breathe.

But I was living quite unhealthy at the time tbh, didn't go to the gym, had consumed a lot of alcohol and smoked a lot of cigarettes+weed in the weeks leading up me being hospitalized.

i guess we always ate a lot of meat growing up, so we did end up chewing a lot, but he literally has to blow his nose every 10 minutes

and isn't visibly recessed, but he had crooked teeth while mine are perfectly straight, maybe that's correlated

I nose breathed but I didn't have ideal tongue posture, I pushed my tongue against front teeth and ended up with buck teeth, over bite and over jet.

All the time. Ate like shit, was fat as well so even minor physical activity had me breathing through my mouth during non-sleeping hours. Bones ironically ended up okay, but I have a lot of downward growth on my lower third and my forward cheekbone projection likely suffered as a result of this.
